Had the opportunity to meet up with Scott Blair for a trip to see Amos in TX. There were some supercells too..

Rachael and I left Norman at 19UTC with Scott Blair. After tooling around near Lawton, we headed toward the storm forming near what appeared to be a meso-low feature near Seymour, TX. We initially caught up to the newly organized cell near Electra at around 2130 UTC. We watched as a wall cloud went from nice to just plain awesome. The rotation was very strong and a decent tornado appeared eminent. Instead, there was a weak tornadic circulation with the rapidly occluding meso to the WNW of Electra at 2200UTC.

We continued on with the storm until it began weakening northeast of Wichita Falls. The best part of the day came near dark, when we moved ahead of the storm near Archer City. The structure was amazing, and a lack of a true wide-angle lens became very frustrating.

In total, we observed 3 supercells, collected some nice data from several inflow regions and the Electra RFD, got in a bit of golf-ball hail, and captured a few very nice structure shots. Overall a great chase!
